November Concert 2023 FAQ

Updated: Sep 21, 2023

When and where is the concert?

The concert will be from 3pm on Saturday the 11th November at St Brides Church in Hyndland, Glasgow.

How do I confirm my attendance?

Just fill out the google form found by following the QR code below: please provide your child's name and what section of the concert you wish to attend. There are 3 parts to the concert that will last 45 - 60 minutes. Any further questions please contact your teacher or send an email to millyholroydmusic@yahoo.com.

When should should I arrive to the concert?

Please arrive around 15 minutes before the start of your chosen concert slot. This will ensure you have time to settle in, your child has time to try the piano during the interval and you can grab a tea and cake!

Do I need to bring anything?

Please make sure your child brings their music to the concert. We would also appreciate any homebakes or snacks you wish to bring, this will all be shared during the intervals.

Is there a dress code for performers?

We encourage you to wear anything comfortable to play in, but something smart would be appreciated. No pyjamas please!

Is there parking at the venue?

Unfortunately there is no designated parking for the church. There is plenty of street parking in the surrounding areas, but this is paid parking. Please ensure you arrive with enough time to park before your child's performance slot starts.

Do I have to stay for the entire concert?

This is completely up to you! We'd love to have your support for other children and students who are performing, but you can leave any time, and arrive later if you let us know in advance so we can schedule accordingly. If possible, please stay for an interval so we can get group photos of the performers!

How will I know exactly when my child is playing?

In the weeks running up to the concert, we will release the concert program so you can see what the order of play is. At the event paper copies of programs will be provided. Milly will also instruct all performers on the concert etiquette and guide them to where they need to be during the event.

Is the concert free?

Yes the concert is free! There will be a donations box at the venue, and we appreciate any contributions towards the running of the event.
